A sneak-peek download in honor of the completion of our first digital release. “Standthis”, available July 7th on digital portals (itunes, boomkat, etc.) and limited hand-made cassettes, represents the future of psychedelic hip-hop in an addictive EP of epic proportions. Although Dak’s sound is rooted in basic hip-hop rhythms and structures, his main practice consists of insane post-dilla experiments in freepsychjazz. This exploration and ultimate transcendence of genre captures the spirit and scope of Leaving releases to come (Last.fm, 2010).
